The 13th Triple Crown Race sponsored by Head of Christiana Presbyterians and the Trail Dawgs was a stellar effort. The April 23rd races, with nearly 700 runners and 100 volunteers, enabled our church to extend hospitality and gross $23K for Meeting Ground, Settlement House, Newark Empowerment/Friendship House and Newark Area Welfare. The volunteers from PCUSA@UD, Gamma Sigma, Meeting Ground, and Newark Area Welfare assisted the Trail Dawgs and HOC at water stations, breakfast and barbecue lunch, parking, and other race duties that made the sunny day brighter. For the first time there was participation from the local faith community as they strolled through White Clay Creek Park. The race continues to grow in size and Spirit and we invite you to participate on April 30, 2011. Help us help those in need -
